In Aricent, Quality is a way of life
We have an uncompromising commitment to quality by synchronizing process, people, and technology. Our quality initiatives are people centric and aimed at organization, team and self- development in order to improve customer and employee satisfaction.
We have been assessed at People-CMM Level 3 (developed by Software Engineering Institute of Carnegie Mellon University, Pennsylvania). With this achievement Aricent has attained the unique distinction of being the first Communication Software Company in the World to have been assessed at People CMM Level 3. The P -CMM Level 3 assessment was conducted by KPMG.
The People CMM level 3 achievement represents that
Aricent has mature people practices and it integrates the workforce development with software process improvements in order to establish a culture of software engineering excellence.
The Company's business strategy and people practices are aligned and the motivation of the people is also aligned with that of the Organization.
Aricent has the commitment to develop its employees to enhance its reputation as an "Employer of choice" which is very critical when competing for scarce technical talent.
About People-CMM
People-CMM describes an evolutionary improvement path from ad hoc, inconsistently performed practices, to a mature, disciplined development of the knowledge, skills, and motivation of the work force, just as the Software-CMM describes an evolutionary improvement path for the software processes within an organization. Like the Software-CMM, the People-CMM is a five-staged model and has Key Process Areas characterizing the 'maturity plateaus' (levels). Each maturity level institutionalizes a level of capability for developing the talent within the Organization. More information on People-CMM can be had from http://www.sei.cmu.edu/cmm-p/
