Naetra ADSL Router Overview :
Aricent's Naetra DSL Solution enables chipset vendors and OEMs / ODMs to quickly build a DSL access device for the SOHO market on their target platform. The product provides a very high "time to market advantage" as most of the product development, integration and testing is already complete.
Aricent supports a variety of licensing models, which include both source code and object code licensing. Moreover, the licensing of Naetra is not restricted to any vendor's chipset or operating system, thus allowing higher levels of flexibility and extensibility compared to other competitive solutions.
Naetra ADSL Router Features:
The Naetra DSL Solution supports both IP and ATM based access with the following features:
Access
- Supports bridged Ethernet and routing encapsulation (RFC 1483).
- Supports PPP access over ATM.
- Supports the PPPoE client over ATM.
- Supports Classical IP and ARP over ATM.
- Easy setup, plug and play through auto-configuration based on TR-037 ADSL Forum standards.
- Authentication using PAP, CHAP, MS-CHAP and EAP.
- Supports both LLC multiplexing and VC multiplexing.
- Supports multiple ATM PVCs.
NAT
- Sharing of the IP address account using NAT.
- Support for Port translation (NAPT).
- Supports both static and dynamic NAT.
- Virtual Server support.
- Support for two-way NAT.
- A wide variety of ALGs are supported including H.323, CuSeeMe, DNS, FTP, PPTP, ICMP, NETBIOS, IP Multicast, ICQ etc.
Firewall
- Provides support for DMZ and filtering based on access lists.
- Filtering based on IP options, protocol and IP address.
- Prevents DOS attacks like SYN Flood, Ping of death, Win Nuke Attack, Snork Attack, Ascend Attack, TCP/UDP short header, Source routing attack, IP spoofing, Tiny Fragment attack, etc.
- Inhibits access to special sites using URL Filtering.
