WiFi: 
Aricent has created new products to address two critical needs for WiFi WLAN access – security and mobility. Security is addressed by an RSNA 802.11i software implementation while mobility is addressed by an IAPP 802.11F software implementation. Both are integrated and tested with Intersil’s Prism II WLAN chip.These products are the beginning of a complete software solution to address WiFi needs. Along with these, Aricent has created an early version of a full WLAN access point solution to be followed by a FIT access point solution and a WLAN switch solution by the end of the year. The WLAN switch solution will be available on Broadcom silicon platforms.

Soho:
Products and solutions for Soho equipment like DSL routers, IADs, appliances, etc. These include individual products like a full-fledged IP stack, NAT, FIREWALL, DHCP, PPP (including PPPoE), RSVP and L2TP as well as complete solutions like the Naetra DSL router software.

Enterprise:
Products and solutions for small and large enterprise equipment like enterprise routers and switches. These include a full-fledged IP stack, NAT, 802.1x, FIREWALL, DHCP, PPP (including PPPoE), RSVP and L2TP, QoS, routing (OSPF, RIP, RIPng, BGP, ISIS), MPLS,VLAN, bridging & spanning tree.

Access:
Products and solutions for access network equipment. These include a full-fledged IP stack, PPP (including PPPoE), RSVP and L2TP, QoS, routing (OSPF, RIP, BGP, ISIS), MPLS,VLAN, bridging & spanning tree. These products are designed to meet traffic engineering and performance requirements in these networks and are complemented by components like the redundancy manager to address fault tolerance requirements.

Internet edge:
Products and solutions for internet edge network equipment including those VPN requirements. These include a full-fledged IP stack, PPP (including PPPoE), RSVP and L2TP, QoS, routing (OSPF, RIP, BGP, ISIS), MPLS. These products are designed to meet traffic engineering and performance requirements in these networks and enable carriers and service providers to meet the needs of scalable and reliable VPN solutions. These are complemented by components like the redundancy manager to address fault tolerance requirements.

Core network:
Going beyond the traditional software stack offerings, software for the core network is engineered for high scalability, reliability and traffic engineering requirements. Aricent's software products for core network equipment include portable and scalable implementations of OSPF, RIP, BGP, ISIS, MPLS and many other related components along with a redundancy manager for fault tolerant solutions.
