Our competence in the Internet domain has its roots in our development of software for proprietary data networks in mid-1980s. We have also developed software for inter-working between proprietary and OSI- based networks in the late-1980s.

Subsequently, we have worked on developing standards-based software for wide area networking and software for devices interconnecting local area networks and wide area networks. With improvements in connectivity options, the need to handle traffic between a variety of networks following different architectures provided the opportunity for us to develop software systems for multi-protocol routers and bridges. With the emergence of technologies for switching between LAN segments, we developed software for such switching devices.

More recently, with the emergence of IP as the de facto standard, we have been involved in the development of software for a variety of IP based devices such as access devices, remote access servers and routers with a range of throughput and connectivity capabilities. We have also participated in projects involving inter-working devices for proprietary network architectures (such as SNA) that provided connectivity using the IP protocol.

Currently, we are engaged in development of software for security, next generation IP, bandwidth management, QoS, and virtual private networks. The rapid growth and evolution of the Internet has increased the range of services and features that are expected from the underlying network due to which new standards are continually being defined. We are concentrating on our Research & Product Development and competence building efforts towards VoIP and QoS / guaranteed service capabilities.
