Aricent V52 (V5.2 Interface Signaling) software is a portable implementation of the V5.1/V5.2 interface Layer3 and Layer2 specification for Access Network (AN) and Local Exchange (LE).

The Aricent V52 product also includes:

• Resource Management (RM) module for managing resources like bearer channel allocation for ISDN and PSTN calls.
• System Management (SM) module for providing system management functions.
• Generic National Protocol Interface (NPI)/User Port (UP) for handling call management functionality by interfacing with line driver and Layer3.

The above-mentioned modules also interface with V5.2 Layer3 with a message-based interface that can be ported according to the target environment requirement.

Aricent V52 provides Application Program Interfaces (APIs) for the Network Management Console (NMC) and to line drivers for National Protocol/User Port.
