Aricent FR-ATM PVC Overview :
Aricent FR-ATM PVC Interworking (Frame Relay-Asynchronous Transfer Mode) software supports network and service interworking of FR and ATM PVCs in accordance with FRF.5 and FRF.8. The network interworking part of Aricent FR-ATM PVC transparently transports FR traffic over the ATM network, while the service interworking part allows FR devices to interwork with the ATM services.
Aricent FR-ATM PVC is integrated with Aricent FR-PVC, which supports the Q.933 core, PVC management procedures and switching functionality. The FR-SSCS functionality of the network interworking part of Aricent FR-ATM uses the Q.933 core and PVC management procedures provided by Aricent FR-PVC.
The Aricent FR-ATM PVC software requires hardware and software implementation of AAL5.
